BUILDING A MODERN ANTIOCH CHURCH

Pastor Kit Siang was born in Kuching, Sarawak. He graduated with a Bachelor of Accounting and completed his Masters in Science (Information Technology) at the University Putra Malaysia in 2000. He has been an IT Lecturer at the UniversityTenaga Nasional sinceMay 2001, and he has been the pastor of Hope Serdang church since 2004.

Pastor Kit Siang & Shara has a vision to build Hope Serdang to be a modern day Antioch church - a missionary sending church. His passion is to inspire and equip normal people to do extraordinary things for the Lord.

Shara Tan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and completed her Masters in Human Resource Development from the Universiti Putra Malaysia 2003.

She is currently attached with the Australian International School Malaysia in Human Resources. Shara first served in the student ministry, before moving to working adults in Hope Serdang in 1997. She also serves in the Praise and Worship ministry as a worship leader and is heading the Admin and Finance Department.

MAKING DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS

Hope Serdang is a multicultural church with around 180 people. It is mainly made up of many dynamic university students, youth and young adults. The church also reaches out to foreign workers from Nepal and Myanmar. Recently, we have many Africans students joining our church, namely from Botswana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Kenya and Nigeria.

CONFIRMING HIS WORDS WITH SIGNS AND WONDERS

Hope Serdang had around 100 people attended the healing workshop on Friday night and around 200 people attended the Healing Service on Sunday. Thank God for confirming His Words with manifestation of healing as written in the bible.

Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it. March 16:20

Heng Hong felt his pain disappear

Shalom. I’m Heng Hong and currently I’m working with the Malaysian Government. In 2001, I was diagnosed with SLE (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus), which means my immune system attacks my organs. Due to this sickness, I'm taking medication to control my immune system and I need to take extra precautions to keep healthy.

On February 15th 2008, Brother Peter came to Hope Serdang to teach about God’s healing. I was very sick at that time but I forced myself to attend the workshop because I wanted to experience the healing power of God. At one point during the workshop, I rested in a room because of the unbearable pain. At the end of the workshop, Brother Peter asked for people who wanted to be prayed for and my friends encouraged me to step forward. Since I had never seen these kinds of miracle happen before, I decided to give it a try. After receiving prayer, I didn’t feel any different, but afterwards I felt my pain ease.

After the workshop ended, my CG members and I went to a nearby restaurant to have our dinner. I didn’t eat earlier because I felt very unwell and uneasy. When I reached the restaurant, I felt the pain disappear. Praise the Lord that I could sleep so soundly that night. All glory to Him!

The power of God fell upon Sing Wei

I’m Sing Wei, currently studying at UKM (National University of Malaysia). I was diagnosed as an asthmatic from a young age and during my second year of university; I suffered heart pain due to an overdose of medication by the paramedic at one of the local hospitals. I need to be rushed to hospital for treatment during my asthmatic attacks and I need to take medication every day.

Thank God for Brother Peter for the Supernatural Sunday service in Hope Serdang as God used him to heal me! I had been having mild heart pain since Sunday morning but when Brother Peter prayed for me during the service,

I felt a sudden great power flow through my body. It was so powerful yet gentle and it caused me to fall down to the floor instantly. Thank God that my heart pain was gone when I woke up!

Praise the Lord as He’s my healer! Since then, my life has not been the same! I do not need to depend on medication anymore. I can now live a normal life. Our God is my Jehovah Rafah! The Healer! Hallelujah!

Ai Chen's hearing improved after prayer

Shalom! My name is Ai Chen from Hope Serdang. When I was two years old, an accident with kerosene severely affected my hearing. I am totally deaf in my left ear, and I can only hear loud sounds in my right ear such as the sound of a drumbeat or firecracker.

The church prayed for me during the Supernatural Sunday Service on the 24th February 2008.

Praise God that after receiving prayer, I was able to hear nearby conversations with my right ear and I can now hear loud sounds in my left.

I trust and have faith in God that He can restore my hearing in both ears completely. God is good!

Lai Kin recovered 80% of hearing

I lost hearing in my left year ten years ago. At the time, I went to many specialists. The reason for my hearing loss was due to bacterial contamination.

During the Healing Workshop, I felt a hot sensation in my left ear. Praise God that after the healing prayers, I had recovered 80% hearing in my left ear. In the past, I couldn’t hear anything, but now I can!

I want to give thanks to God for His healing grace and give thanks to the church for praying for me.
