Church planting in Laguna, Philippines

In May 2007, Pastor Soradej from Hope Manila challenged his leaders Henry and his wife Hani to lead Hope of God Laguna. Henry is currently working at one of the shipping agencies in Makati City, Philippines, as a Network Administrator. At first Henry was hesitant of accepting the challenge due to his work schedule, but God convicted Henry to do his best to advance God’s kingdom at Hope of God Laguna. Hani (his wife) started out as a volunteer worker in Hope Manila in February 2007 and joined full time ministry in November 2007. Pastor Soradej encouraged Hani to support her husband Henry in Hope Laguna.

Pioneering Hope of God Laguna

Pastor Nonoi and Sister Gina joined the Hope Movement in 1996 when they went to Australia. Pastor Noi returned to Manila and joined Hope Manila in July 2001. They pioneered the first San Pedro care groups with the help of the Hope Manila leaders. Pastor Noi pioneered a church in San Pedro. Hope San Pedro started its first service on March 2nd, 2003.

After Pastor Nonoi and Gina went to Australia, Ps Soradej commissioned Henry and Hani to oversee Hope Laguna. Last February, Henry was appointed as Pastor of Hope Laguna. Eventually the care groups began to grow. The original group of 40 people grew to over 70 to 80 students, professionals and families. They now have nine care groups at different venues around Laguna.

Three days of Power Encounter


Hope Laguna had three healing meetings on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Many people from the community attended the healing meetings. God touched many lives with His love and power. Over 60 people accepted Christ as Lord and Saviour during the healing meetings. Glory to God!

Healing testimonies:

Eva Ramos – she recently gave birth and as a result, she suffered from pneumonia and urinary tract infection (UTI). After being prayed for, she felt some kind inner relief. The following day, she opted to have a check up and she saw God perform a miracle in healing her from pneumonia and UTI.

Arlyn Ymasa – After being baptised in the Holy Spirit, God strengthened her through relieving her from all the pain in her body. She also received the gift of speaking in tongues. As a result of this encounter with God, there was a transformation in her life.

Renante Capilitan –Both his eyes has been blurry and he cannot read without wearing eye glasses for the past two years. After being prayed for, he was able to see clearer. He can now read the Bible without using his glasses.

Celo Malabanan – suffered from a pain in his nape for a long time. He had difficulties in moving his neck. After receiving prayer, he felt release and he was able to move his neck completely. On that day, he also accepted Christ as his personal Saviour and Lord.

Ricky Tangob – A loss of hearing in his left year for the past four years has been hindrance. Prayer saw a miracle happen as his hearing was restored.
