I’m Pastor Mark from Hope Melbourne City Centre. As you look behind me, you can see Melbourne Central and various Melbourne icons. That’s because we’re right in the heart of Melbourne city; actually just over there is RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology), where we have one of our fellowship groups.

Over there if you look where that flag is waving, that’s over at Melbourne University and that’s all the mission territory that we’re aiming, that we’re working on at the moment. We’ve actually identified three key zones past that way.

MIRACLE HEALING SUNDAY



Firstly we want to thank Peter and thank Pastor Wilson for releasing Peter to come. It was just a really great time; we have seen many miracles occur. Many people were very thrilled and very encouraged at the things that God actually did.

We saw seven souls saved which is fantastic. I noticed as well that when we actually had our E-Sunday event called ‘Miracle Healing Sunday’, quite a few newcomers came that were not even asked to come along; they just came I think by God’s supernatural hand. People just came off the street and that was really exciting to see. Just the miracles themselves, they’re very telling. A lot of people rose up in faith and I could see that so many people were personally blessed, to be released from their pain and suffering.

Signs and wonders are vital for church growth. We see that in the early church pattern, the church grew in leaps and bounds through the application in signs and wonders. I think Peter’s visit has been a wakeup call to the true necessity and significance of signs and wonders in the church.




HEALING TESTIMONIES

God healed my muscle cramp

My name is Lenders Suming and I’m from Papua New Guinea. I am a postgraduate student studying at Victoria University. Four years ago I started feeling pain on the right side of my stomach which developed into a very painful muscle cramp. This prevented me from doing activities that require a lot of energy and physical movement. I planned to see the doctor during the semester break because it was affecting my studies.

However, I was invited by some friends at Hope Christian Church Melbourne to attend the Miracle Healing Sunday service at Kensington Community Centre by evangelist Peter Truong. It was at the healing rally that I felt the healing power of God and at that moment, all the pain disappeared. I was completely healed and free from the pain. Now I don’t have to see the doctor because there is no more pain. God has healed me and now I am able to things that I haven’t been able to do before. To God be the Glory.


God restored my unequaled legs

My primary school teacher was the first person to notice that my legs were not of the same length. She mentioned to me that I looked a bit imbalanced when I walked. I never paid much attention to it until I joined Hope Melbourne where I watched some videos showing healing miracles of people whose legs were of different lengths.

Peter Truong came to Melbourne a few times before but I never went out to ask for prayer. I always thought there were many others who needed God’s healing more than me as they had more serious conditions. However before I went to bed the night before the healing service, I had a strong feeling that God wanted me to check my legs again. So I sat on the floor and noticed that my right leg looked longer than my left leg. I wasn’t convinced until I asked my housemate to confirm. He told me that my right leg was obviously 1-2cm longer than the left one. I sensed God’s prompting that He would heal my legs and He wanted me to ask Peter to pray for me publicly so that it would bring Him glory and strengthen the faith of those who witness it.

Peter joined my care group meeting on the 29th of August and I requested him to pray for my legs. I was quite confident that God was going to heal me even though I had no idea how He was going to do it. After all, it's such a supernatural thing and I had never experienced it before. I was told to sit on a chair with my legs on another chair. It was very clear to everyone that my right leg was longer than the left one. Peter and my care group members prayed for me twice. I felt the left side of my body, especially the part around my neck, was moving during the first time they prayed for me.

After the prayers, my legs looked the same length. Although I was not sure whether they were exactly the same length, I could feel the difference when I stood up. It was hard to believe! I checked a few times after I went home and they looked the same length indeed. Thank God! He is truly amazing!


God restored dislocated finger

My healing testimony comes from my little finger on my left hand. In September 2006, I fell off my scooter while driving in the rain and dislocated my little finger on my left hand. The finger was in a splint for about one month, after which I had daily physiotherapy to loosen the finger to restore movement. Initially it was very painful and as stiff as one can imagine.


Slowly but surely I was able to have some movement in my finger. For me to have greater movement in my baby finger and to make a fist, I would need to exercise and stretch it for a little while.

This began to change on 27 August, 2008, when Peter Truong came to Melbourne. After telling him about my finger, he prayed over me three times in one day! Unfortunately my finger was not healed during those times.

However, God is faithful and through His grace I was healed today, the 31st of August, 2008. The church members & Peter once again prayed for me and this time I had movement in my baby finger without the need for stretching and I can make a fist with minimal effort. Praise God that He is alive, powerful, and merciful!
