Hello, this is Pastor Anthony from Hope Kota Kinabalu church. This is my wife Moi Moi. And right here, we are at Tanjung Aru beach, one of the famous tourist spots in our city. During the weekends, many people come and enjoy the scenery here.

Divine Healing in Kota Kinabalu

It’s our joy to share with you what we have seen over the past three days. We have seen a crowd of 350 people joining us, with 35 of the group being first time visitors. They all stepped into our church to witness the blessings of God. We have also seen nine people come forward and receive Jesus; let’s give glory to Jesus.



On the first night, there was a little boy suffering from internal pain and after prayer, the boy testified that the pain was gone when he walked around. We want to praise God for that.


Today, we had three mute and deaf brothers and sisters come to our Supernatural Service Sunday. One had been deaf since Year 2, the second since birth and the third has been unable to hear since Year 9.

After prayer, they all rejoiced because for the very first time, they could hear the sounds of worship and our prayers. They could spell certain words that we read to them. Before they came to church, they were doubtful about whether God could heal them but after they left the church, their faith has been strengthened.

Brothers and sisters, this is what has happened at Hope Kota Kinabalu church. I want to take this time to encourage you, wherever you are, that God can do the same wonders in your local church.

Jenny Hoh, Visitor

I’ve been deaf since birth and couldn’t hear any sound at all.

When brother Peter asked to the church to pray for me, I could feel a strong force working around me. My heart was inspired. The whole church laid their hands on me. After prayer, I could hear the music when it was played loudly. It was amazing, I had never heard any music in my life and now I could hear a little. Praise God! I am glad that God worked wonders in my life!

I lost my hearing when I was two years old. Since then, I can’t hear anything at all. I came to this rally because one of my colleagues invited me. When the time came for prayer, I felt different and my whole heart was filled with inexpressible joy.

When the church laid their hands on my ears, head and shoulders, I could feel Jesus around me and I knew that the Holy Spirit was working. After these two times of prayer, my hearing improved slightly. I could hear the sounds of people praying for me.

When Brother Peter Truong asked the church to pray for me and my friends for the third time, I told Jesus to give me a stronger faith. After that, my hearing got even better. I can testify that my hearing has improved; I am able to hear loud sounds. Throughout the prayers, God renewed me spiritually and I feel recharged. I experienced God’s touch and I believe that God will heal me eventually.

This is my first time to Hope Church. Before I came, I had been completely deaf since I was nine years old. When Brother Peter called the church to pray for me, all of them laid their hands on me.

During prayer, I could hear the sound of prayer. After praying, my hearing improved tremendously. I could hear the music, the sound of people clapping their hands and I could make out the voices of people.

When some of the church members tried to speak into my ear, I could hear sounds, but couldn’t decipher their words; now I can hear loud sounds compare to not able to hear any sounds before prayer. I praise God that He has healed me and through this event, my faith in God has been strengthened. Praise God!!



Ng Chee Keong, Eng/Chinese Working Adult Unit

My left ear has always been weaker compared to my right ear. It’s especially obvious when I’m answering phone calls.

After first round of prayer, there didn’t seem to be a change. During the second round of prayer, I could hear ringing sounds in my left ear. Amazing God healed me! Now I can hear well and there is an improvement in my hearing. Praise God!



Esau Ak. Kak, BM Working Adult Unit

My heart was filled with anticipation that all my brothers and sisters and friends who’ll come to the healing rally will be healed by God. When Brother Peter asked anyone who wanted healing from have muscle pain, without hesitation I walked to the front with faith that the Lord was going to heal the pain on my knees.

The pain on my knees was as a result of heavy sporting activities since I was in high school. That night, after working for eight hours, the pain on my knees was unbearable. However I still chose to honour the Lord and went to church praying for my brothers and sisters. As Pastor Anthony and some of the brothers and sisters prayed for me, I felt like I was floating and the pain on my knees was being soothed.
