REVIVAL MEETINGS IN MIRI, EMART & BEKENU

[Healing Rally in Calvary Church, Emart]

My name is Pastor Hii from Calvary Charismatic Church in Miri. This week, we had evangelist Peter Truong with us. We held five days of healing meetings.

The first healing service was at Calvary Church, Emart. We had around 300 attending the meeting. The second meeting was at Calvary Church, Bekenu with around 200 people. On Sunday, we had two services at Calvary Church, Miri. In the Bahasa service there were around 200 people and in the combined English/Chinese service there were 170 people. We have been really blessed this week; we have seen God bringing people back to Him.

We had 62 salvations and 29 rededications. We really thank God for His work in our church. One very special thing for us was that Peter Truong had the leaders involved in praying for the sick and we saw many healings taking place in our meetings.

We really thank God for the many lives that have been touched this week, for the people that have been drawn back to Him and for the new people that have been moved by God. We want to thank God for five days of miracles, five days of blessings, five days of soul-winning and five days of healing. It has been a great time for us. We want to thank God for the ministry of Peter Truong.

On the 8th of October, at Calvary Charismatic Centre (CCC) Emart Branch, a healing and evangelistic meeting was held. Despite the fact that it was a Thursday, about 300 people came to hear and witness the love of God.

Evangelist Peter Truong preached a powerful message about God’s love for the people and acceptance. 40 people responded to the invitation to make Jesus their personal Lord and Saviour. Together with the church leaders, Peter prayed and ministered to the needs of the people and God moved to touch the people. Among them was a man who came in a wheelchair, who after prayer testified that he felt new strength in his hips and managed to take a few steps for the first time in years. There was another girl who had limited hearing in one ear; she was healed. Many others were touched and healed by the power of God. In the air, there was a tangible sense of freedom and joy. Praise the Lord!

Calvary Charismatic Centre, Bekenu

About an hour’s drive from the city of Miri is Bekenu. It is a place known for witchcraft and black magic. In past public meetings at the Community Hall, there were spiritual “disturbances” but tonight the atmosphere was free. The CCC outreach at Bekenu started in 1996 and Sunday attendances averaged between 60 and 70.

For this meeting, about 200 people came, many of whom were new visitors who heard about our service from flyers distributed out earlier in the week.

Peter shared from John 5 about the paralysed man at the pool of Siloam. He made clear to the congregation that God loves them and 26 people responded to Peter’s invitation for salvation. As Peter and the leaders prayed, God released his divine touch on the people.

Many people were touched and healed by God that night, including some who were released from joint pain after suffering for a long time. There was a sense of liberty that had not been felt in a long time in Bekenu.

On the 10th of October, a combined meeting with both the English and Chinese congregations was held. Again the Lord worked mightily among the 150 people who were there as Peter preached and many accepted the call of salvation. Again, Peter released the leaders to pray for the sick. God worked His wonders; a woman who had back pain because of her last operation and severe headaches was healed. She reported no more pain.

[BM Healing Service in Calvary Church, Miri]

At the main church in Saberkas, two services were held. The Bahasa service was first. There Peter preached to the 200 strong congregation about receiving the blessings of God. When the invitation of salvation was given, many came forward. God worked among the people again: a man who had blurred vision after a brain operation was able to see clearly for the first time.

In the combined English-Chinese service, about 170 people attended and Peter prayed and ministered to the needs of many different groups of people. There were special prayers for the young people for their studies and for their future; the business people, for God to prosper them; and finally, Peter prayed for the people and church. He also encouraging leaders to continue to use their gifts of healing and share the church’s vision to bring salvation to the indigenous people of Sarawak.

All in all, Evangelist Peter Truong’s meetings at CCC Miri recorded 62 salvations, 29 rededications and about 30 physical healings.
