STREAM OF LIFE CHURCH - JAKARTA

I really want to believe God for 2010 to be a "Year of Miracles". I desire to see God move even more powerfully through the local churches and individual members.

I started the year with two weeks of healing meetings in Jakarta, Indonesia. It was my first time conducting healing ministry in Jakarta.




A local pastor, Jacky Mailoor, in the city arranged for me to minister to various churches. I am blessed to have an Indonesian friend called Candra Kirana who hosted me and became my translator.

In the first week, I ministered on Friday lunchtime at a business fellowship and Sunday afternoon service at GBI (Gereja Bethel Indonesia), Stream of Life church.


Pastor Lie Shun and his wife Tania have been leading this church for the last five years. There is the Mandarin morning service and the Indonesian afternoon service. The afternoon service consists of many young people hungry for God.




I felt the Spirit leading me to give a word of prophecy over the pastor and his wife at the start of my message. They were encouraged by the prophecy because they had been seeking God for direction earlier through ten days of fasting and prayer.

God never changes

I shared my message from Hebrews 1:10-12 entitled “Unchanging God in a changing world”. We need to know that although our world may change from day to day, God never changes.

He also says, "In the beginning, O Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed. But you remain the same, and your years will never end." Hebrew 1:10-12

There are three characteristics of God that is unchanging: His love, faithfulness and power for our lives. We can find hope, peace and strength in God because of His eternal nature. God is in control of the nations, the global economy and our future.



Healing testimonies

Many people came forward for prayer during the altar call. Young and old were touched by the Holy Spirit during the ministry time. People received faith, hope and love from God. I had a word of knowledge about people with leg problems.

• A student who had hip and foot pain for two years was healed after prayer.
  
• An elderly man received greater strength in both of his legs after prayer.
  

Praise God for revealing His glory in the local church through signs and wonders.
