Vision to disciple families

I had a wonderful time of ministry at Calvary Family Church in Kuching, Sarawak. Pastor Matthew Ling is the senior pastor of the church. They have a vision to see families come to know Christ and become disciples of Christ. The church runs many courses throughout the year aimed at building strong and biblical marriages and children.

This is a vital and essential ministry because families go through many pressures and need the support of the local church. Thus, the church is in a position to cater and bless many families and children in the community.

Healing Workshop on Wednesday night

I conducted one healing workshop on Wednesday night at Calvary Family Church. I taught the leaders and members how to minister physical, emotional and spiritual healing.

I taught the leaders how to give simple words of prophecy to members. There are many levels of prophecy but we all can move in simple prophecy by giving words of encouragement, comfort and exhortation from the Lord. I was encouraged to hear members were seeing visions for one another during the time of waiting on God. The Holy Spirit was moving during the time of ministry on Wednesday night.

Lundu Healing Crusade




Brother David Ang and the mission team organized a healing crusade in Lundu which is about two hours drive from Kuching. Calvary Family Church has established a small outreach centre in Lundu over the past few years. They have a weekly church attendance of twenty to thirty locals from the villages.




The healing crusades attracted 276 locals from a number of surrounding villages. Many locals came to the meeting by foot or by a pickup van.

I shared a message called “The Gift of God” – the reasons why God sent Jesus Christ into the world. Thank God for over 100 locals who responded to call to accept Christ as their Saviour or rededicating their lives to God. Many miracles occurred during the time of prayer for healing. God healed many people from vision impairments and people who were suffering with various body pains or injuries. We thank God that through this healing crusade the church was able to establish another small group bible study in one of the villages.

Friday night and Sunday healing services

We had two healing services in Calvary Family Church: one on Friday night and one on Sunday morning. The presence of God was at both healing services touching many lives.

On Friday night, I shared a vision I received from God to the people. I had a vision of a key opening a locked door. I believe that God wants to open various doors to the people. Many people came forward for prayer, believing God to open doors in their lives.

On Sunday morning, we prayed for people who needed healing, business people who needed a breakthrough and the youth who needed God’s direction and blessing. I was so blessed to see the leaders of the church help minister to the people during the altar. God used the leaders of the church to bring words of encouragement, blessings and healing to the people. I left Kuching feeling encouraged because I can see God is bringing revival in Calvary Family Church. Glory to God!
