SAINT ANDREW'S CATHEDRAL - SINGAPORE
My wife, Makiko, and I are called to reach out to the Japanese community. We have a vision to see the Japanese community in Singapore and all over the world come to know Jesus Christ. With less than 1% of the population being Christian in Japan, it is recognized as one of the hardest mission fields despite active church planting and mission work for nearly three centuries. With this in mind, we started J-Gospel two years ago. It was a church aimed at reaching out to the Japanese in Singapore.
We recognised that there are a higher percentage of conversions among the Japanese living overseas compare to those in Japan. We also see that many of the Japanese must experience the power of the Holy Spirit in order to be convicted of the Gospel, and that is where ministry like Evangelist Peter Truong greatly blessed our outreach to the Japanese community. On 3rd July (Saturday), Peter came to our fellowship and shared about the woman with a bleeding problem reaching out to Jesus for healing in Mark 5. Then he prophetically invited those who were in need to come forward to receive ministering and prayer.
Healing testimonies:
1. There was a young married couple where the wife was diagnosed with a polyp growth, and was advised to go for an operation. The next day after the service, she went for a check up and the doctor could not detect the polyp. No immediate surgery was needed.
2. I especially invited a boy and his family to come to the service. The boy was suffering from pain and weakening of muscles and his condition was affecting his studies. A few days after praying for the boy, his mother wrote me an email
“…our good Lord has delivered him of his chronic severe muscle aches since Monday. Today is Thursday already, and his muscles are still ache and pain free. Now he can walk and jog normally…”
3. A lady seeker who joins the fellowship frequently came to Peter for prayer after she affirmed his prophetic word applied to her. And she was so touched by the Holy Spirit and she asked how she could receive Christ.
My wife and I are so blessed by Peter’s ministry at J-Gospel. And through his ministry, our fellowship has moved into another level of spiritual experience of God. Peter is truly a man of God, who avails himself to be used by God to be a vessel of blessings to the body of Christ. We want to affirm that God has given Peter this gift of healing and prophecy. And we do pray that God will continue to open up new frontiers for him to shine God’s glory to the lost.
