I have always dreamed of visiting Sri Lanka ever since I made Sri Lankan friends who were studying in Australia. I have a natural affinity with the Sri Lankan people because of their hospitality and friendliness. They have warm smiles and are always open to friendship. Sri Lanka is a beautiful country with many beautiful beaches, resorts and wildlife reserves.

I was blessed to meet Pastor Ruwan Mendis from New Life Chapel in Colombo, Sri Lanka (www.chlk.net). He is an ordained Assembly of God pastor who has a great passion to see the power of God released in Sri Lanka. Pastor Ruwan Mendis is leading a growing church with combined Tamil and Singhalese Sunday services. He kindly hosted me in Colombo and organised many healing meetings among the Assembly of God churches in Colombo and in the provinces. I ministered in Maskelya AOG, Negombo AOG, Ehelyagoyda, AOG, Udahmulla AOG and New Life Chapel AOG. I also ministered in Pastor Ajith Abeyratne’s Calvary Church Mirihana.

I was so amazed to see the level of hunger for God and His healing power among the churches in Sri Lanka. Most of the churches were fasting and praying for miracles and revival to be released during the healing meetings. The high-energy praise and worship among the churches really created a powerful atmosphere for miracles, deliverance, signs and wonders. Hundreds of people came to the healing rallies with a great expectation for God to do wonders. Our greatest joy throughout the two weeks of healing rallies was to see many people responding to the gospel. We had over 200 people making their decisions for Christ.

Here are some of the healing testimonies in Sri Lanka:

• A 15-year-old girl who was deaf in one ear since birth was able to hear clearly
• A lady who was deaf for 25 years in one ear was able to hear for the first time
• A teenager with a speech impairment and hearing problems was able to speak clearer after prayer
• A lady who was deaf in one ear for 40 years could hear clearly after prayer
• A lady who, despite two ear operations, had hindered hearing, was healed by God. Now, she can hear clearly from her damaged ear.
• A cross-eyed man was able to see clearly for the first time.
• A lady with a metal rod inserted into her arm was able to raise her arm above her shoulders for the first time.
• A few people were delivered from evil spirits. Thank you Jesus!
• God healed people with pains in their chest, neck, back, fingers, arms, legs etc. People who had walking problems were able to walk freely. Glory to God!
• Number of people with poor eyesight was healed
• Pastor Ruwan’s wife who has been suffering from sinus pain and breathing problems for over 10 years was healed after prayer.
