FAITH FOR MIRACLES

Thank you for reading E-Club Newsletter over the past many years. I pray that this newsletter will continue to inspire you to believe God for greater miracles in your life. God desires for us to live our lives on earth like the days of Jesus and His disciples. Wherever they went, people were touched by the gospel message and received healing from various illness and diseases.

At a recent healing service, I felt an impression from God that someone had pain in the back of their ear. I spoke in faith and asked the person to claim his/her healing from God where they were sitting. The next day, a woman told me that she had a small lump in the back of her ear that was very painful and affected her breathing and sleeping. She told me that the lump totally disappeared a few minutes after she prayed by faith and now she can sleep perfectly without any pain. Glory to God! Our faith in God works wonders!

FAITH FOR MIRACLES

In this issue, I share from my personal experience how to have "Faith for Miracles".  I pray that God will do great miracles and wonders in your life as you take greater steps of faith with God.

Six things I do to keep my faith strong in the Lord and to live in the realms of miracles.

1. Believe in every Word of God

 • Miracles happen when we Believe in every word of the Bible

Do we believe every word in the Bible is the inspired Word of God? Or do we pick and choose only what we like to believe or what other people want us to believe? In order for us to have a radical life transformation, we need to believe in every word of God. We need to have a deep conviction that what is written in the Bible is for every believer and it is applicable for today. It is not a historical book to stimulate our minds and emotions. God has given us His words so that we will live according to His plan, guideline and purpose.

Scripture references: 1 Timothy 3:16-17, John 14:11-14, Mark 16:15-18, Acts 5:12-16

 2. I want to Practice the Words of God

 • Miracles happen when we start seeking opportunities to practice the Word of God.

Do not wait until you get lightening and thunder from heaven or a visitation from angels before you start praying for miracles. Do not wait until you are on a big platform with thousands of people in a healing crusade before you start praying for healing. The more we pray for people and putting God’s Words into action, the more we see the move of God. Do not sit at home and wait for opportunity to come to pray for miracles. Rather, we need to ask God to open doors for us to reveal His love and power in everyday situation. I noticed that some of the most outstanding miracles or healings happened when I prayed by myself in a quiet place, praying for a small group of people, praying in the streets, praying for a person at home and hospital. We should not limit God and set boundaries or dictate the environment for God to perform miracles. God can perform miracles anywhere, in a small gathering or a large stadium full of people. I often get invitations to pray for individuals at home or in hospital. I apply the same faith principles that I have learnt in church to pray for individuals on the street, at home and in hospital. I must see how God sees people; everyone is valuable to Him and I must pray for them individually when time allows.

Scripture references: Acts 14:8-13, Acts 20:7-12

3. Bring Glory to God on earth and heaven

 • Miracles happen when we want to glorify the name of Jesus on earth.

So many people are living in ignorance of God’s plan, love, grace and power. Some may even oppose to Christianity because they see as one of many other religions that lack relevance for today’s modern world. God is not glorified when people are kept in sin, bondage, sickness, hurts, fear, addiction, without any deliverance. Jesus did everything during His three years of ministry on earth to let people know that He was the Son of God. He was the Messiah that they had been waiting for generations. He had a personal relationship with the His Father in Heaven. He did not bring His own agenda on earth but He was on earth to bring glory to His heavenly Father. What are our motives to reveal God’s power on earth? If we seek to glorify God and not for our self-gain or reputation, we will see a greater release of God’s presence and manifestations.

Scripture references: John 8:12-30, 1 King 18:16-45, Acts 4:1-14

4. Break Satan’s bondages/strongholds over people

 • Miracles happen when we want to set people free from bondages, curses and strongholds.

What is the nature of the gospel and the Good News? Jesus did not come to introduce further religious rituals to the people. Jesus came to introduce people to a personal relationship with God and set people free from satanic influence. Jesus’ mission statement is written in Luke 4:16-21. Jesus was anointed to preach the Good News to the poor, proclaim freedom for the prisoners, recovery of sight for the blind, release the oppressed, and proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor. All of the works of Jesus required encountering and overcoming the power of darkness over people. Satan has kept people in bondage through lies and deceptions. God has commissioned every believer to go into battle and set people free. God has given us power and authority over the works of Satan on earth. The abundant life that Jesus promised is not for the select few but for everyone. We need to help people to know the truth of the Word of God and pray for Jesus to deliver them from Satan’s influence.

Scripture references: Luke 4:16-21, Mark 9:17-29, John 8:42-47, John 8:31-32, John 10:10, Acts 16:16-18, 2 Corinthians 10:3-6, Eph 6:10-18

5. Seek & Dwell in the presence of God

 • Miracles happen when we enjoy and desire the presence of God through worship.

God wants us to tap into His unlimited power so we can be overcomers and fulfill His purposes on earth. How do we tap into His unlimited power? We need to fall in love with God above all else and enjoy coming into His presence. Our greatest love and desire on earth should be God because God created us to worship Him. We need to remain in the Holy Spirit always so that Christ may manifest through us. We are nothing without the Holy Spirit. We need to rely on the Holy Spirit in the big or small things. The more we seek the presence of God, the more God can guide us to do supernatural things through the Holy Spirit. I like to spend time worshipping God alone before every ministry whether I am in a big crusade or small meeting. I do not want to stand before people pretending that I have special power or ability. I know my ability to hear from God and do the work of God comes through spending time waiting and listening to Him. I rather pray a few words with the power and anointing of God than utter hundreds of words without any result.

Scripture references: Psalms 42:1-2, Psalms 84:1-12, Mark 1:35-39, Acts 16:25-34

6. I want to Release others into a life of Faith for miracles.

Miracles happen when we mobilize others to have faith for miracles.

It is so importance to build an atmosphere of faith in the lives of people. Faith has a multiplication effect. The person who has faith can inspire and impart faith to other people, which causes a chain reaction. Do not limit your faith to self but allow your faith to inspire others to greater faith in God for miracles. Exercise faith at every level:
  • We should encourage people to have faith in God before, during and after prayer.
  • We should encourage every Christians to pray for healing so that their faith will increase. God wants to use everyone.
  • We should encourage those receiving prayers to pray for themselves at home so that their faith will increase.
  • Mature and experience Christians should mentor and assist new Christians during prayer so they can grow. When the body of Christ works together in unity and faith, God release greater miracles. It is not about a one person doing the work of God but every believer fulfilling the call of God to live a supernatural lifestyle.
