A vision for United Kingdom
PK and Kim, while serving as elders in the Hope of Hong Kong Church, responded to the call of God to plant a church in the United Kingdom. On May 20th 1998, they landed at Heathrow Airport. The same week, the first Sunday service was held at their home with four people. Three months later, on August 2nd, 1998, the first public Sunday service of Hope Church London was held in a small room at the London City YMCA. The size of the congregation back then was around 12. Today, the church has a congregation that consists of different nationalities and different backgrounds. Life groups focusing on specific groups of individuals (i.e. students, working adult, Thai, European) have been planted all over London. Hope London has also planted its first satellite church in Ealing, West London. In the UK, Hope Church Leeds has been planted and the church has pioneered care groups in Hatfield, Nottingham and Birmingham. Fresher Fair in University of Hertfordshire 
Three years ago, a student care group was pioneered at the University of Hertfordshire in Hatfield (45 minutes from London) by Eldos Then, Esther Ho and Jessie Guo. God has blessed them with 9 regular members. Recently, at the International Student Fresher Fair, the university’s chaplain gave us a table to sign up new students. 
We praise God for 45 new contacts from Malaysia, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Spain and Holland. Thank God for one regular visitor who accepted Christ after Peter and Esther shared the gospel with him. Furthermore, there were 31 students who attended Friday night care group with 26 new visitors from Fresher Fair. Word Seminar – A Healing Church 
Pastor PK and Peter Truong were the speakers at the Word Seminar called “A Healing Church” on Saturday. There were around 40 people who attended the Word Seminar and many members received prayer for healing (Read testimonies). 
Healing Service IN HOPE LONDON
Hope London had its first Healing Service on Sunday afternoon with many new visitors from the community. Members went out to the community near the church area during the week to invite people to attend the Healing Service. They boldly knocked on doors and spoke to people on the street. During intercessory prayer for the Healing Service, Ps PK saw light shining down from heaven upon the church and Jacey saw big angels covering the church, heaven opened and God poured His spirit and filled the church. Thank God for around 100 people at the healing service and 4 people accepted Christ. In addition, some of the visitors expressed interest to return for church service. (Reading testimonies) 
Healing Testimonies: 
God touched Margaret at Healing Service… Margaret was a visitor who attended the Healing Service on Sunday night. She had a back injury for over 10 years. Pastor PK prayed for Margaret and God healed her. Margaret was so grateful to God that she came forward to testify to the whole church. Margaret shed tears of joy and would like to come back to church again. God restored Becky from the past…. Peter prayed for me and said that God has cleansed me and encouraged me not to replay the past like a tape. Now, I feel free to be the person God created me to be and also God gave me a prophecy that I would be involved in women’s ministry in the future. 
God healed Sophina’s knee... I have had pain in both knees for the past 10 years. Then Vincent prayed for me and I felt a feeling of heat/warmth from my thigh to the knees and the area didn’t feel as tense as it used to be and not as swollen as before! God renewed James’ mind … Previously I had a lot of negativity and I often put myself down. That is why I wanted to be more positive. When Pastor PK prayed for me, I felt electricity (the Holy Spirit) run through my body especially around my legs. I thank God for touching me during and after the prayer. Now I feel more energetic and alive as God has renewed my mind with a new hope for my life. 
God healed Mrs Chaiithiwet’s headache & neck strain … I had headache and neck strain for 2 days and after my husband and son (Aaron) prayed for me, the pain disappeared! |
