DISCOVERING CHRISTIANITY IN STUTTGART
Steffen Cornehl is currently leading Hope Stuttgart, Germany. He came to know Christ in April 2002 through Kajin Teoh at university. Steffen was studying Industry Engineering near Stuttgart in 2001. He was a strong atheist and a high achiever in life before accepting Christ.
“I was a successful watchmaker and won an award as one of the best watchmakers in Germany. A lot of friends were impressed by my accomplishments but deep in my heart, I couldn’t find any satisfaction in all these things I’ve done. Something was missing but I didn’t know what. Now, I know it was God knocking on the door of my heart”
After six month of attending care group and bible studies, Steffen found the answers to life through Jesus Christ. Now, Steffen has a passion to serve God and share his faith to both Germans and international people in Stuttgart.
HOPE STUTTGART 6 TH ANNIVESARY 
Hope Stuttgart is an international church with people from various countries such as Germany, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and African nations. The church has a strong focus in building a multicultural community. Germans and foreigners alike are united in worshipping God and fellowshipping through Jesus Christ.
The church celebrated the 6th Anniversary on Sunday with members and visitors from Stuttgart, Munich, Essen and Zurich. There were 50 people attending this special event. The Chinese care group in Hope Stuttgart led by Yun Long presented a special Chinese Song item and touched many hearts. Angela and Giovanni presented a funny drama about a family with a baby which represented the church. Steffen Cornehl delivered an inspiriting anniversary message. He thanks God for being faithful to the church over the years and challenged the members to strive for personal growth in God. Everyone in the church received a chocolate egg with a toy inside to represent the fact that life in Christ is full of wonderful surprises. The anniversary ended with yummy German cakes and everyone staying back for warm fellowship.
SOUTH/WEST GERMANY & ZURICH REGIONAL DAYS 
Hope Stuttgart hosted the South/West Germany and Zurich regional days. The speakers were Marcus Rose and Steffen Cornehl. Church leaders and members from Stuttgart, Essen, Munich and Zurich joined this special training program. Steffen taught about the importance of unity in the church and working together as a team. Marcus taught about unity through bible interpretation and fulfilling the Great Commission through church planting in Germany. There were about 30 people attending the two nights and one day training. The members are motivated to serve together and make an impact for Christ in their respective ministries.
CAMPUS AND STREETS SURVEY 
The church went out to conduct everyday evangelism at universities and shopping centres. The church members conducted a survey and invited people for a Saturday party. The three questions of the survey were:

What are the goals of your life? -
What would you like to change in your character? -
What are open questions that you have about life?
About 70 Germans participated in the survey over the 5 days of evangelism and the church members received some 50 email addresses of people interested in joining future discussion.
SATURDAY NIGHT PARTY 
The party was held at the church venue on Saturday night. Simba, an African student, was doing a great job with the funky music. People just enjoyed sitting around the table and making new friends. Daniel provided a wonderful Juice bar for people to purchase their favourite juice. Thank God that the members and visitors had a great time at the party.
