HOPE TAWAU: KRETAM HEALING RALLY

Hi! I am Jason, the coordinator of Hope Tawau. I was commissioned by Hope KK to come to Tawau in 2001. Our church in Tawau started off with only two people. Now we have 27 members who are mostly locals.

The church organised a healing service in Kretam Estate, a palm tree plantation. God burdened our hearts to do mission work in Kretam Estate, which is a 4 ½ hour drive away from Tawau. We committed ourselves to hold a service there once a month which attracts more than 30 people. Christina, who is a local on the estate, also started a weekly care group which consists of 9-12 regulars with strong support from Hope Tawau.

Our members distributed many flyers to the community promoting the healing service and helped spread the news across the estates through friends and relatives. Hope Tawau sent 11 members and 2 children and Hope Kota Kinabalu sent four members for the healing rally in Kretam Estate.

God moved strongly at the healing service with 117 people attending and 55 people accepting Christ! Many people responded with simple faith and were healed by God during the prayer time! Praise the Lord! (Read Healing testimonies)

God has opened a way through this healing service to touch people from nearby estates. Please pray that those who responded will be assimilated fast and the local people will rise up to take the lead! All glory to God!
