THE ROCK CHURCH, KUALA LUMPUR
This year, Easter was a special and significant event for the Rock Church in Kuala Lumpur and myself. It was the first time we conducted a healing service on Good Friday. Pastor Roger Woon and his members went around the neighbourhood and invited many people to attend the Good Friday Healing Service. We also had a recording artist to sing Christian songs before the message and prayer. We thank God for many first time visitors who attended the healing service.
I shared a short message called "Power of the Cross" from Isaiah 53. We have forgiveness of sins, restoration of relationship with God and healing from sickness and bondages through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ:
Isaiah 53:4-5 "Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
The Lord Jesus confirmed His resurrection power by touching and healing many people on Friday night. I received some words of knowledge regarding the physical illness of the people in the meeting. Many people had faith for Jesus to heal them and they were healed from various pains in their bodies. It was very encouraging to hear many visitors giving testimony of their healing after prayer. (Watch Video).
I want to encourage everyone to live as if Jesus is alive today and not dead two thousand years ago. If Jesus is alive, we can call upon Him to perform everyday miracles. His love, wisdom and power are residing with us to live a supernatural life. Whenever we see a need or problem in our everyday situations, we can instantly call upon the name of Jesus to do supernatural things. Our lives can become extraordinary because our God is alive and living inside us.
Apostle Peter testified to the Jews that Jesus was crucified and resurrected and that was the reason why a crippled man was able to walk after praying in the name of Jesus:
Acts 4:8-10 "Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: “Rulers and elders of the people! If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a man who was lame and are being asked how he was healed, 10 then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed".
We are a special instrument of God on earth to extend His love and power to everyone around us. Let us reach out with the love of Christ today and make a difference in someone's life. I am praying that we all make everyday Easter so that we can live in the power of God, as God wants us to.
